Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information FutNet ("we", "us") collects when you use futnet.site and our mobile apps, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using FutNet you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name (first and last, and an optional nickname), email address, date of birth, sign-in method (email, Apple or Google), and your profile photo or avatar.
- Profile details you add: for example your playing position and other profile settings.
- Activity in FutNet: games you create, join, leave or decline; rosters, teams, match results, goals and stats; communities you belong to and your role; join requests; rules and refund policies you accepted (with the time).
- Community credit records: the credit balance and history (top-ups, charges for games, refunds, adjustments and notes) that a Community Admin records for you. We do not collect or see payment card, bank or Zelle details. Payments made through Zelle, Cash App, Venmo or similar services are handled outside FutNet by those services.
- Content you share: chat messages, comments, community posts, polls, photos, and any text you enter.
- Technical information: basic device, browser and app data and logs needed to keep the service running and secure (for example IP address and error logs), and cookies or local storage needed to keep you signed in.
- Location: FutNet does not track your precise location in the background. Game locations are typed in or chosen by Organizers. If we ever ask to use your device location (for example to find games near you), we will ask your permission first.
2. How we use information
- To create your account, run games and communities, show rosters and results, and let you chat and post.
- To keep records of credit, charges and refunds inside a community.
- To send service messages, such as notifications about games you joined or requests you made.
- To keep FutNet safe, prevent abuse and fraud, fix problems and improve the service.
- To follow the law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
3. Who can see your information
- Other users: your name, photo, position and stats may be shown on rosters, in communities, in chats, on leaderboards and in the player directory. Posts and chats are visible to the people in that game or community. Community Admins and Organizers can see members' names, roster status, and credit balance and history in their community.
- Service providers: we use Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting and storage) and similar providers to run FutNet. They process data for us under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect people's safety, our rights or the service.
- We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers.
4. Payments between users
If you pay a Community Admin or Organizer (for example by Zelle), that is a transaction between you and that person under the payment service's rules. We do not receive that money or your payment details and are not responsible for it. See section 4 of our Terms & Conditions.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to run the service, resolve disputes, keep community records (such as past rosters, results and credit history) and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account we remove or de-identify your personal profile, but some records other members rely on may remain in a limited form (for example "Player" on a past roster) where needed.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can edit your name, photo and profile details in the app at any time.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or delete your account, by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within the time required by law where it applies (for example California and other US state privacy laws, or GDPR for people in the EU/UK).
- You can leave communities and games at any time.
- You can turn off notifications in your device settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No online service is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep it private.
8. Children
FutNet is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Users under 18 should use FutNet only with a parent or guardian's permission.
9. International users
FutNet is operated from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the US or other countries where our providers operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date above, and for important changes we may notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
